Hey Everyone!! I hope you're having a wonderful week. I thought I'd share with you some photos from some of my recent shoots :-) Miss B blew me away about how stunning she looked when she's preggy. I wish I looked that good. B E A U T I F U L!!!! Thank you for sharing your blossoming belly with me xoxox And then as if by magic Little master S arrived :-) (although mummy would tell me it was no magic feat!!! xoxoxo But she was sure a magician!!) A gorgeous mellow wee man. He was an absolute pleasure to photography. Think he was a tad hungry in this photo though...... wanted to devour his mummy's cheek. So CUTE!!!
The 2nd winner from our competition late last year finally had her maternity session with us a couple of weeks ago. S T U N N I N G!! is the word I'm left with!!! I think her little baby is going to be spoilt rotten with all the amazing things Hazel will make.L O V E their tattoos. Thanks for an awesome shoot guys!!! You were amazing!! Here is a gorgeous photo of my brother & his gorgeous girlfriend. I love them sooo much!! :-) And loving that sunshine poking through the leaves!!! :-) My favourite time of day to shoot later in the arvo!
This is one of my favourite photos of the month! These boys were so energetic they bounded up these hay bales like nothing...... the girls kind of bounded up them??? lol........ I'm just loving the repetition of the hay bales & those stunning clouds!!! Love LOVE L O V E!!

For all those people living in the Manawatu I'm offering birthday party photography $75 per hour, minimum of $100 charged. We all know how hard it is to take photos at our children's birthday partys. I don't know if you're like me but I end up spending all my time in the kitchen cooking up yummies, hardly aware of who's at the party let alone take photos of them :-) and to catch that precious moment when the candles are blown out or that gorgeous piece of artwork birthday cake gets mushed up and plastered all over your beloveds face and fingers!! Hi everyone, I don't know about you but this year is going soooo fast for me, so perhaps a re cap in images, my favourite way of documenting my life...... So 2nd week back at school & miss Georgia & I are off on school camp to Castlepoint, we had an awesome time!! Walked up Castlecliff!!! Beautiful sunrise one of the mornings, must have been the earliest I've been up for a while, I usually burn the candle at the other end of the day :-) Love this photo of soph, taken in late afternoon light!! Beautiful!!! I had a great time taking photos of them and especially listening to their practise!!! Should have taken some ear plugs though, boy its loud!!! Another wonderful wedding I've photographed this year was Renae & Michael's wedding, Renae was such a stunning bride, she smiled the whole day away, I could tell she was absolutely stoked to be marrying Lochie!!! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day. :-) Everyone knows it is always my pleasure to take photos for my friends and family, this is a photo of a very special family to us, our good friends Anna, Scott, their beautiful children & of course Anna's mum & dad & brother Pete. Along with the NILMDTS organisation another very worthy cause is The Littlest Hero Project, I am proud to say that a few of us photographers in New Zealand have become part of this organisation. It is so important for these families to have photos of their loved ones to treasure for all time, it is such a hard time for each and every family so this is a small way of giving back.

Please let your friends & family if they're going through this kind of tough time at the moment that there is a service like this available. I'm sure it would make a difference in their lives.

A Zippity Zoo birthday party

Today I had a lovely time at Alice & Freddie's joint 4th & 2nd farm birthday party. Zippity Zoo brought their animals up from Otaki to play with us for the afternoon. What a great idea Fiona & Paul!!
I love these photos of the boys looking at Freddie's cake I can see them saying "YUM". Thanks for inviting me to take photos guys, I had a ball!!

This afternoon I had a lovely maternity session with Charnell & Jake, quietly gorgeous is the best way to describe them. And soon two will be three, a wee boy to bless their family. I personally can't wait to meet him.

While we were in Auckland for the holidays we "stole" my eldest neice away from her parents for a few weeks (or maybe a month) she's such a good girl we might not let her go back! hee hee. Last night we went for a walk to the park, I love dusk, the light is so soft, I directed D to pop over to certain places so I could take her photo, lucky for me she obliged. Thought I'd share a couple of those photos with you.So stunning don't you agree. I feel blessed to have D as my neice! TTFN

And how can I tell? Well the kiddlies have finished school, the christmas tree is up and the pine smell in the air is beautiful!!! Can't believe how grown up my babies are. Georgia will be in her final year of primary school next year, Wow, hasn't that come around fast! :-) Harrison in his first year of the Seniors, and Miss Sophie, well she'll have me at home to create all sorts of fun as no study for me, first time in 4 years!!! I think my husband will probably enjoy that fact too. Here's wishing you a very magical Christmas and holiday season to you all. :-)

Welcoming wee Maddi Hodgetts

A few months ago I photographed my friend Jane as she was gorgeously blossoming with her & Craig's 2nd child on the way, I included some of those images in my recent exhibition. Here is the photomontage I included in my book.Stunning right?? I'm sure you agree!! Jane & I went to High School together, and through the brilliant facebook network :-) we've become acquainted again. Craig & Jane's bundle of joy, Maddison was born in October and I've just now finished editing our session. Miss Emily is a perfect big sister, loving her baby sister and giving her the most gorgeous cuddles and smooches.
Isn't she just the most scrummy cuddly baby you've seen!!!

I'm so impressed with Craig & Jane as parents, they're making sure Emily doesn't feel left out with her baby sister arriving and giving her special attention. Such a loving family!Awww don't you love it, some special time with daddy. Keep up the great work guys, you can be proud of your girls and your wee family :-) xoxoxo

A special gift in a moment of sadness

This week sadly through a close friend I've been reminded how we should all treasure our babies, they are truly a gift and not everyone is lucky to be able to go through a normal pregnancy and childbirth. Early this year I had the privilage and was humbled to photograph a family who lost their baby at 26 weeks gestation. Although I wasn't sure how I could emotionally take those photos of a baby that had passed, a calmness came over me, I wanted to do the best job I could for this family who were going through a hard time, and hopefully give them some images that they could look back on, or that maybe the photos might help ease their pain. I don't know, I just hoped I was giving them a gift. Yesterday I was again reminded of what a gift it can be for a family who's lost a child or maybe only have a few hours left to spend with their child to be able to have some images to capture that moment, weirdly enough just the day before another photographer had suggested I join the nilmdt facebook page, very timely Jane :-) So yesterday I went on to the website and put in application to become part of their organisation. http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/. I'm sending my love out to everyone who has lost a child or who is at this very moment going through the very tough process of losing a child. I could never imagine how painful it is, my thoughts are with you. If you are a friend or family member of someone who is going through this too, maybe look at the nilmdt website and find a photographer in your area. xoxoxoxo

My baby girl turns 2.

Wow what a fantastic day, amazingly enough I was out of bed before 7am, a rare occurance for me i can tell you :-) Today was a day to potter around making goodies for our family & friends who came to celebrate Miss Sophie Rose's 2nd birthday, 31 of us in total. I feel very blessed and am loving being mummy & house wife now study is finished. Just a wee reminder that our exhibition finishes up this weekend the 13th of December so get in quick to see it :-) So many talented people!!!
